Bausman & Company builds custom wood furniture for interior designers, architects, FF&E purchasing agents, and construction teams.

We are not a catalog hotel mill. We are a factory that will lock a finish, repeat it across a full room run, and stand behind the work if something is wrong.

How we work on a hospitality package

1. Specification:  Send the FF&E schedule, drawings, finish direction, quantities by room type, and opening or install date.

2.  Finish Sample and mock-up:  We produce a control sample from the actual finishing process. Production does not start until that sample is signed. We keep it on file for the full run and for later reorders.

3. Production Typical lead time is 12–16 weeks after approved sample.

Pieces are bench-made. One craftsman owns the assembly. Finish is a detailed multi-step process, including the distressing work that defines our look when specified.

4. Matching at volume
We will repeat the approved stain, distress level, and sheen across the quantity you order: 40 rooms or 200. For example, Room 1 and room 118 are built to the same control sample.

5. QC, freight, and punch
Photo documentation before shipping. Pieces labeled by PO, item, and room type when you provide that schedule. If we make a mistake, we remake it at our cost. That is how we have operated for over 50 years.

6. Reorder years later
We regularly rematch finishes on Bausman pieces that come back after 30 years in the field. If you need one replacement dresser after a PIP cycle, that is a conversation we already know how to have. Attic stock can be included in the bid.

Construction is bench-made, with traditional joinery and a commercial finish schedule specified for the project. Hotels refresh on brand cycles. The furniture is built to outlast that cycle and to be matchable when a single piece is damaged.

We produce shop drawings and a finish sample against brand dimensions and durability requirements.
-Brand design signs the mock-up.
-The purchasing agent places the PO.

Lifestyle and soft-brand collections, where custom wood and a specific finish story are part of the design, are the usual fit. Highly prototypical midscale packages are a different factory model. If your project needs a named custom maker who can hit brand clearances and still match a designer’s finish, that is our work.

We will complete brand supplier registrations as required. We will not claim “approved vendor” status we have not been granted. What we will put in writing is lead time, sample protocol, remake policy, and capacity.

Sustainability and shop practice: Wood is sourced with environmental responsibility in mind. Mahogany is discontinued.

The facility uses certified air-pollution control. By-products are recycled.
